As a qualified Counsellor, I often work with adults who are looking to understand themselves more deeply, build confidence, navigate life or relationship changes, or find a way forward when things feel difficult. I also offer support with anxiety, stress, loss and bereavement, as well as many other challenges that can arise throughout life. Alongside my counselling practice, I am a Mindfulness Teacher, offering group and one-to-one sessions for those who would like to cultivate greater presence, awareness and connection in their everyday lives.
Postgraduate Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling
I am a BACP accredited Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, which mean I tailor my approach to you as an individual, drawing on different therapeutic approaches to support your unique needs and circumstances. My core approach is Person-centred, which means I believe that you are the expert on your own life, and that having the right support can help you to develop a deeper understanding of yourself, creating space for growth and change. Where helpful, I may also draw on compassionate, cognitive and mindfulness approaches.
I work alongside you to explore your experiences, challenges, thoughts, feelings and behaviours, supporting you to recognise and develop your own strengths and inner resources along the way. I encourage you to take the lead in exploring what feels meaningful and right for you, offering you time and space to explore your experiences at your pace.
I work with people of all genders and offer an LGBTQ+ affirming space where you are welcome to explore and express yourself openly, authentically and in a way that feels true to you. Whether you are looking for counselling or mindfulness sessions, I offer a genuine, calm and non-judgemental space where you can bring your whole self, just as you are.
In mindfulness sessions, I support you to connect with your natural inner rhythms and to approach yourself and your experiences with greater curiosity and compassion. Mindfulness can offer a way of stepping out of the busyness of our thoughts and reconnecting with the present moment.
Attendees have shared that sessions have helped them to spend more time in the ‘now’ and less time caught up in busy or worrisome thoughts, supporting a greater sense of connection with themselves, their relationships and surroundings. If you would like to explore whether my approach could support you, I welcome you to get in touch for an informal chat.
I work Mondays and Fridays and offer both in person and online sessions.
